Powell River Public Library Open for Limited Browsing

Starting July 20th, we invite patrons to enter the library and browse our shelves for material to check-out! The library will be open from 10 am until 6 pm, Monday to Friday. The library staff and Board have been encouraged by the safe and respectful response from our community to our Library Takeout service and public computer access. While we are still operating during unpredictable times, we have developed a safe procedure that will allow us safely grow the services available in the Library.

Plan your visit to the library.

Protecting the health of staff and patrons is a shared responsibility. We will be limiting the number of people in our space and encouraging quick, safe visits. While it is not required, we are recommending that patrons wear a face covering or mask when they come to the library. We also remind patrons to disinfect your hands upon arrival, to be respectful of physical distancing, to bring your Library Cards, use the self-serve checkout station, and to stock up! Library material can now be enjoyed for four weeks and there are no late fines. Please do not visit our public space if you are unwell or required to isolate.

If you haven’t already, check our website for the full listing of our digital programs and resources like virtual writing groups, story-time and a growing collection of eBooks and eAudio for download.

We look forward to seeing you in the library!
