The qathet Regional District (qRD) is collaborating with the Tla’amin Nation and the City of Powell River on an initiative to develop a comprehensive evaluation of the risks posed by extreme temperatures throughout the qathet region and to recommend mitigative measures and response plans. Notably, the project has received commitments of collaboration from the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA), Island Health (IH), and Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) to support the project with their knowledge and expertise. The qRD is requesting proposals from qualified proponents to work with the collaborating parties to carry out the necessary work in delivery of this project.
