Powell River Regional Hospital District Name Change
We Want to Hear from You!
The Powell River Regional Hospital District sought public feedback regarding changing the name of the Powell River Regional Hospital District to the qathet Regional Hospital District. At the March 30, 2022 Powell River Regional Hospital District Meeting, the Regional Hospital Board passed a motion to move forward with soliciting public feedback through legislated public notice and additional advertising and to conduct stakeholder consultation through correspondence.

Public feedback was accepted until June 15, 2022. Staff are compiling feedback and prepare a report to the September Powell River Regional Hospital District Committee of the Whole regarding next steps. The Committee’s recommendation will then be forwarded to the Powell River Regional Hospital District Board of Directors.
