Self-Haul Organics Pilot Program Ends August 31, 2025
- Food Waste (under 10kg) can be brought to the Resource Recovery Centre Recycling Depot (4924 Marine Ave) Monday to Saturday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
- Food Waste (under 10kg) can be brought to the Tla’amin Recycling Depot (near the Salish Centre) Tuesday to Saturday, 9:00am to 5:00pm
Food Waste (over 10kg), Yard Waste*, and Commingled Food & Yard Waste* will be accepted at the Resource Recovery Centre Transfer Station, subject to applicable fees:

*Invasive plants and branches over 2 inches in diameter cannot be included in Yard Waste or Commingled Food & Yard Waste. The 2 cubic yard limit for Yard Waste will no longer apply.

- Food Waste (over 10kg) can be brought to the Resource Recovery Centre Transfer Station (4924 Marine Ave) Monday to Saturday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
- Food Waste (under 10kg) can be brought to the Tla’amin Recycling Depot (near the Salish Centre) Tuesday to Saturday, 9:00am to 5:00pm
- Yard Waste* (up to 2 cubic yards) can be brought to the Resource Recovery Centre Transfer Station (4924 Marine Ave) Monday to Saturday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

Organics in the City of Powell River
The City of Powell River provides weekly curbside garbage, organics, and recycling collection. Schedules are available on the City’s website or pick up a hard copy at City Hall.
