Haywire Bay Regional Park is a popular seasonal day-use park and campground. qathet Regional District proudly operates this family-friendly park and employs an on-site park caretaker, Wendy Paterson, to assist with visitor’s needs.
In alignment with Parks Canada and BC Parks, effective March 23, 2020, Haywire Bay Regional Park & Campground is now closed to the public for camping. The campground will remain closed until further notice.

Haywire Bay Regional Park is located on the southeast shore of Powell Lake about 7 km from the City of Powell River on the upper Sunshine Coast.
From the BC Ferry Terminal at Saltery Bay: stay on Hwy. 101 as you come off the ferry until you reach the downtown city core of Powell River. The highway turns into Marine Avenue. Follow Marine through downtown and turn right at the stop lights on Alberni Street. Turn left on Manson Avenue and then right on Cassiar Street. Cassiar Street veers left and turns into Yukon Street. Stay on Yukon until you reach Haslam Street and turn right on Haslam. Follow Haslam and veer left on Inland Lake Road. Continue on the gravel road and follow the signs to reach the park.
