The purpose of this project is to review and update the Savary Island Community Plan to provide a refreshed vision, goals, objectives, and policies that reflect current values and needs of the community.
An Official Community Plan (OCP) sets out a long-term vision for a community and establishes community goals and policies for achieving that vision. An OCP provides a policy framework to guide land use and development decision-making of the regional district, other government agencies, and landowners. The current Savary Island OCP is almost 20 years old and is due for an update.
