Texada Island Metal Transfer Station

Lasqueti Island Residual Waste Transfer
| Location: | The Lasqueti Island Landfill was closed Permanently December 1st, 2019. The Lasqueti Island residential waste collection service is now at the barge ramp. |

| Hours of Operation: | 11:00am – 1:00pm, the second Wednesday of every month, except for holidays. If weather is unfavourable, or if collection day falls on a Holiday, the service will be rescheduled to the next available date. |
| Accepted Materials: | “Lasqueti Island residential waste” means refuse that originates from residential, commercial and institutional sources but does not include Construction, Renovation and Demolition Waste, Prohibited Waste, Recyclable Materials, Organics or Stewardship Materials as defined in qRD Solid Waste Regulation and Tipping Fee Bylaw No. 532, 2018 |

The qRD does not provide public garbage collection services. Residents are invited to bring items to the Resource Recovery Centre to drop off household waste and recycling. Residents can also contact these businesses to set up privatized pick up.

- APJ Services at 604-414-6097 to set up residential and transient (boats, camping) garbage collection in the Northside area only.
The City of Powell River provides curbside garbage, organics, and recycling collection. Collection schedules are available on the City’s website, or pick up a hard copy at City Hall. For more information, contact 604-485-8657 or email to opssecretary@powellriver.ca.
