Are you concerned about land use and development in your neighbourhood? Should the Regional District do more to manage land use and development in your area? qathet Regional District is hosting public information meetings and a survey to gather feedback from community members in Electoral Areas A, B and C.

Attend a Public Meeting

Thank you to everyone who participated in the public meetings to learn about and discuss options for regulating land use on November 15th, 16th, 17th and 24th. The results will be included in a report to the Regional Board in early 2022.

On May 28, 2020, the Regional Board received the ‘Feasibility Study Land Use and Development Regulatory Options’ that identified options to enhance the qathet Regional District’s land use and development regulatory framework. Click below to see the study.

 

On January 28, 2021, the Regional Board gave direction to staff to initiate a public engagement process in 2021 with residents in qathet Regional District Electoral Areas A, B and C to explore the pros and cons of land use regulation, taking into consideration the options included in the ‘Feasibility Study Land Use and Development Regulatory Options’ final report.
