The qathet Regional District is seeking expressions of interest from qualified individuals who wish to be considered for the position of Director on the Board of the B.C. Ferry Authority for a term commencing April 1, 2024.
The successful appointee may be eligible for reappointment for a further term of three years.
To be considered for this position an individual must be a qualified Authority candidate, as that term is defined in the Coastal Ferry Act (British Columbia), and must also satisfy the conflict of interest provisions set out in the Act. Further information regarding the above matters is available from the B.C. Ferry Authority at www.bcferryauthority.com.
Individuals interested in being considered as candidates for this position are requested to complete a nomination form.
Completed nomination forms must be received in-person or via email at administration@qathet.ca by the qathet Regional District not later than 4:30 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2024.
The qathet Regional District, in collaboration with the Comox Valley Regional District, Nanaimo Regional District, Strathcona Regional District and Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District, will be submitting a list of nominees for consideration to the B.C. Ferry Authority not later than March 1, 2024.
