Phase 5: Approval Process Public Engagement
Thank you for taking the time this summer to visit the Pop-Up Plan Savary Market, filling out the online survey, or providing your feedback directly to staff. The new Savary Island Official Community Plan provides a refreshed community vision, and combines findings from the detailed review of the 2006 Savary Island Official Community Plan, Savary-specific reports, studies and plans, along with community engagement and advisory committee input, into a practical, reader-friendly plan that supports the community’s vision for the future.
Next Steps
Staff will be reviewing all of the feedback received this summer from Phase 5: Approval Process Public Engagement, and are preparing a report to the Regional Board seeking further direction. After the Regional Board reviews the feedback received in Phase 5: Approval Process Public Engagement, a public hearing for the Savary Island Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 607, 2026 will be scheduled at the discretion of the Regional Board.
