The qathet Regional District is updating the Savary Island Community Plan! This update will build on previous plans and studies, and include many opportunities for the public to share their ideas and insights.

The Community Plan is a policy document that sets out the future vision, goals and objectives for land use planning on Savary Island. The Community Plan guides the Regional District, community members, and other levels of government to make decisions on land use and themes such as environment, housing, tourism, and community well-being. The Community Plan for Savary Island was last adopted in 2007.
We are currently in Phase 2: Community Exploration and Visioning. The goal of this phase is to learn more about the community’s values and priorities, as well as their hopes and dreams for Savary Island over the next 25 years.
